Eva Schubert It is important to have reflection time. For me, this can happen when I am running, or in the evenings if I am reading. Basically any quiet moment when I can hear myself think. The critical thing is not to fill all those moments with screen time. If you do that, it's very difficult to get into the creative zone. Staying off the phone or computer requires discipline. I am still working on getting better at this.
Eva Schubert There is a collection of poetry that I am currently working on. Most of the poetry is done, but I would like to publish it with artistic photos, so I am looking at the details of making that happen.
Eva Schubert Really it is the same for anything you want to get good at. You have to work on it regularly. Don't wait for moments of inspiration. They happen, and that is often how you get started on an idea, but finishing it will require you to show up and work on it to make progress, even if you don't exactly feel like it. Doing that will enable more moments of inspiration as you spend time working on the text and thinking about it.
Eva Schubert It came out of conversations I kept having with guys about relationship problems. In many cases they were with women who looked attractive, but behaved very selfishly. In some cases the long term consequences were quite severe. The book is really advice on how to identify and avoid those kinds of problems before you are in too deep.
