I indulge myself by reading my favorite authors. I re-read their work for inspiration. I review their books and it helps me find my gaps. The other thing I practice is not to force myself into writing. I take break from writing and redirect my attention to things and people who matter to me. It helps me go back to the writing table with fresh perspectives.

According to me, the best thing about being a writer is the sense of creative accomplishment followed by the admiration that one receives for the work. Nothing comes close to a good book written and enjoyed by the readers.

Let the words flow. Stop wasting your time procrastinating, if ever your story will be read. Keep writing for the fund of it. Keep writing because you are creating something Keep writing, because that is the purpose that will keep you engaged to the craft. Take short and simple steps. While writing, the focus must be on completing an engaging and relatable read. Once you are through, start talking about your work, connect with your inner circle and be open to revisions. Try not to get overwhelmed by praise and instead seek encouragement and improvisations on the draft. Once you are done, redirect your focus on getting the work published.

I have reasons to believe that each one of us has a compelling story. All it takes is to reach out to the readers and spin a narrative. I have grown up listening to stories, the fables the fairy tales and the fantasies When I took to reading, it created a parallel world for me, where I could soak & immerse myself with the relatable characters and started associating with them and the people and situations around them. This created a longing in me to write my own stories. And that is exactly how I started writing.
