I'm lucky, because I am always burning to get the ideas OUT! They keep me up at night.
It's true that I sometimes get an impasse on a certain part of a novel, but my solution is to either change gears, switching to another novel or a short story, OR to do something else, like walk the dogs in the woods, weed, or something else that allows my mental gears to disconnect, spinning in my subconscious. That helps "unstick" those plot tangles!

I'm revising the 3rd & 4th stories in the Helios Series.
The 3rd features a woman who struggles with abandonment issues as she joins her BFF in Crete, and contains some thriller elements (rock climbing)--although the hot hero is plenty thrilling, himself!!
The 4th one involves a Navy diver and Deaf heroine, and also has thriller elements.

I grew up telling stories, before I could write cursive, and over time, I decided to emulate the stories we read at night. I still have a few of my stapled-together stories. A lotta ponies in those!

My latest book has a Deaf heroine, and I wanted the hero to be a Navy diver. I thought it would be so cool if her hearing loss, which made life more difficult day to day, would actually be an asset in this situation.
