Your school starts at 7:30 AM sharp. You wake up, look at the clock on your phone, and realize it's 1:00 pm.

Just keep writing. Keep putting words to paper, and forget, for just a little bit, about the rest of the world while you're writing. Trust me; worrying over what other people might think--will they like this, will they hate this--will only pull your creation further away from what you really want to say.
But then once your done, return from your valiant journey and absolute genius and actually listen to what people think.
Crazy, I know. Most people get it backwards.

Writing, duh. But also just being able to make those tiny microscopic changes in peoples' lives with my words and my thoughts. Maybe making the world a better place, maybe making some people wish they were magicians--but even small things like that are always so inspiring for me.

I get inspired to write largely from myself--I know. Mind-blowing. But a lot of it is my ideas, my thoughts, and my little observations in the world that I just want to get down on paper (or computer) in order to sort through them into one cohesive image.

Currently, I'm mostly working on just getting my book out there into the world. But I would like to also eventually get back to writing to work on another fantasy standalone idea... possibly regarding fairies.

The short answer is "From a dream." The long answer is that I got the idea initially from a random dream I had, but then built it off of a lot of mental struggles I was having while in school that I wanted to sort out. Feelings like, "Why is it worth it to live?" and "What do I want to do in life?" as well as just general perfectionism, depression, and all that boring stuff.
