I would go to the Night Circus from Erin Morgenstern's book of the same title. I'd spend my whole night wandering through all the gorgeous exhibits and swooning from the beauty. Then I'd return to my desk and write of magic and beauty.

Knowing that something I've shared is making a difference and offering a new perspective. I especially LOVE it when someone tells me how something I've written has helped and/or validated them.
AND the satisfaction of taking a tangle of thoughts and ideas and Divine inspiration from my heart and mind and forming this raw magic into something clear, coherent and accessible.

I recognize it as a sign that I need a rest. I don't fight it. I pause and take a break. I spend time in nature. I start a different creative project. I put on an audiobook and sort my laundry. I give myself permission to stream mild/sweet magical series or movies. I trust that the muse will return when I feel replenished.

Don't give up before the miracle happens.
1. Write as often as you can.
2. Done is better than perfect.
3. Find your people. Connect with other writers to share the process, passion and excitement.
4. Accept that the process will take longer than you anticipate. It will stir up your stuff. It's very likely you'll wonder whether a single word you've written will matter to anyone. KEEP GOING

A few things...
1. Updated manuals and workbooks for the Empathic Mastery Academy
2. Letting my next solo book percolate before I go back and edit it.
3. Persistent and consistent copy for all my Social Media and Newsletters
4. Getting ready for December launch for our co-author book Co-Creating with the Divine that author and publisher Katie Carey is co-ordinating.

Ideas come to me while I'm lying in bed and drifting off, walking my sweet pug LeeLu in nature while I gaze at the sky, trees and flowers, standing in the shower, driving and decluttering. Ideas inspire me to get them on the page.
I also love to work from prompts, transcripts of things I've said, and outlines.
I am often inspired by conversations, questions, comments and other content that gets me thinking. Sometimes it's about processing my thoughts and feelings, sometimes it's offering a counterbalance to a perspective I totally disagree with.

I've got two projects in the oven right now.
One is part of a multi-author volume so the idea for my chapter was in response to the theme of the whole book and how my own story fits into that.
The second started as a sense that it was time to write my next solo book. I was getting ready to go on a week long writing retreat. I for a few weeks I prayed for inspiration and guidance. Instead of a clear idea of what I was supposed to write about I received instructions about how to channel the next book by dictating and recording it on my laptop. It was a completely different process than all my previous work because other than the basic structure, outline and sequence I had no idea what would come through each section until I spoke it aloud.
