Keeping my mind and heart open. Alot of times when I experience problems I think "what if" and then my imagination takes flight. Not all are good ideas, but some take root and begin to grow until they have to be written down.

I write down one sentence. If I keep writing one sentence a day, it frees my mind to work on the issue that is keeping me from writing. Sometimes I don't like the scene. Or sometimes the character is becoming too indecisive or not being true to themselves. Or sometimes the idea hasn't fully formed yet and I'm floundering to discover the plot or character or goals. But if I keep writing one sentence it's like the sentence is chipping away the block or causing small leaks. The length of time may vary but eventually it breaks to start flowing again. Good luck!

Keep writing, keep reading, and keep learning. Then put something on the page since most of writing is rewriting. Someone said, "if you don't have 100 rejections, then you're not a real writer." Celebrate rejections as the accomplishments they are. If you don't put your work out there, then there is no chance of success at all. Good luck!
