Oftentimes it is by sitting alone in any type of setting where there are not too many people nearby. Writing takes space to reflect and I spend a lot of time reflecting on myself and the world around me. Most importantly, how this writing is going to feel and how to evoke the desired feelings in others. Film and music also play a major part as I see all mediums interconnected. Particularly with genre, it is important to study and understand how a variety of other artists unfurl their work. And always remember, even if you love or hate something, both love and hate can inspire. Let the emotion (or sometimes lack thereof) take you away.

Out of a vivid, lucid dream that came attached with an immense sense of loss. From there, the feeling haunted the back of my mind daily, like simultaneous dread and romance. Colliding these two modes together, a ghost story was born.
