Dale Johnson I have several new books I am working. The first one is complete and called Good Doctor, Poor Mage. It’s technically ready for publishing, but probably will be published anytime soon, since nobody bought my first book. I also have another book called Stretching Their Wings, A Meadow and Lark Adventure which I am posting to my blog on my website. I post it in bits and pieces, but it is good way to see an example of my writing. It hasn’t been edited (even after a professional edit my dyslexia did show up from time to time in my first book) and to make it easier for people wanting to read it I added a section where some of the old chapters are posted in their entirety. The last book that I am writing at the moment is The Dwarf Treasure. It’s well started and is the second book starring Talida who appears in Trapped in a Curse. I of course do some of the writing but nothing that I never planning on publishing at the moment.
Dale Johnson I figure it's about time I try to answer some of these, and I think I'll start with this one since it looks fairly simple. It is said that you can only write what you know, as anyone who has read my books would notice I don't write in the real world. Which of course means that to a degree I live in a fantasy world of my own imagination and don't really notice what mysteries might be in the world around me. This doesn't mean that things that happen around me don't actually affect my writing, it's just I don't notice mysteries in life around me. So I know of no mysteries that could be a plot for a book.
Dale Johnson When I find I can't continue on a certain part of the story, I write something else for a while. Or I write one or two sentences and then stop and leave it for another day.
Dale Johnson I was reading one of the chicks in chain mail books and I came across two short stories. One had a character whose boyfriend enchanted her armour so it couldn't be seen by enemies which left only her head, arms, and legs visible. The other had a character who couldn't get out of their armour. After reading the two stories I had the idea for Talida.
