The King's Course is a sequel to The Paladin's Path. I got the idea for both books while watching historical k-dramas. The setting is a mix of that type of world blended with my experience in central Italy. The pantheon in the book draws from ideas in different cultures.
The WIP I've got going at the moment is literally born from my desire to see a Treasure Island rewrite with a female main character, a sprinkle of my favorite Treasure Island remake - Treasure Planet, and a heap of hope for a better world in the future - solarpunk.

A lot of my inspiration comes from listening to music. Usually on a Christian radio station, with big, swelling songs. They get images in my head of big, emotional moments in a story, and then I want to write.

I stop trying. I do other things. I listen to the radio, watch shows, scroll social media. Eventually, something sparks that inspiration again. Then I can keep writing.
