I'm constantly watching people and thinking about the actions they take. Sometimes this forms into a character. I usually start with a character idea and then the rest seems to come. It may take time, turning different scenarios over in my mind, sometimes even dreaming about them. Eventually a nugget forms and I go from there.

I started writing short stories and many of them were featuring a strong female vampire. A point came where I thought it was worth devoting an entire novel to this character and Capital Thirst was born. Many elements of the original shorts were used as inspiration.

I'm currently working on the second novel in the Erin Kingsly series. Questions abound, what's happened to Erin? Will Erin and Gerry resolve their differences? There is a lot going on.
