Pyram King Destiny's War series is something I had been working on (thoughts and outlines) for years. The idea came from my interest in history (WWI and Ancient History). However, inspiration for the series is a tapestry of books, movies, and personal experiences.
Pyram King I need to place my body and mind in a location, time, and environment that allows me to clear my head and focus.

Sunny days, a walk in a park and sit down and write. Rainy days, sitting by the window and keeping warm. Being comfortable is important to me.

Time. I write best at dawn as the some comes up.

Sound. I prefer the sound of nature or quiet. If music is playing classical.

People. I prefer to be alone when I write.

Solitude is key.

Pyram King Research and developing the story. The entire process is enjoyable and I believe, as with anything else, if you enjoy and are passionate about your endeavors, you will live a happy life.
Pyram King Editing part 2: Assassin Awakes. The research is taking most of the time. I hope to have it finished for the editors this summer.
Pyram King I started reading The Crash of '79 by Paul Erdman.

In addition, I am reading several books for research on the Destiny's War series. Thus, my reading is currently focused on research.
Pyram King To be a good writer you need to read. To be a great author you need to read a lot. Truth be told, I have a lot of reading to do.

Read and not just books in your genre. Just pick up any book and start reading, you do not have to finish it, but give it a read.
Pyram King I usually write a brief outline about the chapter I am having trouble with. It may just be the characters name, words to describe emotions, words to describe action, and some notes.

I read over the brief outline as I lay in bed, then I close my eyes.
Don't forget to keep a pen and paper on your night stand.

I often will wake up in the early morning, having dreamed of the chapter and more often than not have figured out what to write.
