I really wanted to read a book about the psychology of the tech industry (and the ethics of the industry) but I couldn't find one. After I realized nothing existed that was close to what I had in mind, I'd decided I'd take the plunge and write my first book. I'd been researching the ethics and impacts of tech for so long, I had all the groundwork done, so it just became a matter of writing it up.
I suppose I followed Toni Morrison's excellent advice: “If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it.”

I would go to Hogwarts and never leave. Cast spells, study ancient runes, sneak into the Enchanted Forest, cause some mischief - you know, the usual magical Rowling plot line. :)

I always try to listen to my body and mind, and if I need a break I take one. A lot of times, just changing your perspective can do worlds of good for your mindset and creativity.
That said, I also write on days where I don't feel like it. You can always go back and edit something, but you can't get back a day where you didn't write.
