I don't believe in Writer's Block. When I get stuck, I walk away from the story for as long as I need to, and that helps open up the creative process.
The good thing is when you are passionate about something, you can't go too long without wanting to be with it, so I think the same applies to writing. Sooner or later, your heart will bring you back to it, and then the words will come.

I think for everyone it is different, but I would say when I see a physical copy of my book, I know I have left something of myself to the world.
Not that I am on their level, but when I go to a bookstore and see my mentor's books on the shelves, I know I have traveled down the same path as they did, and that is a warm feeling.

Writing is not as easy as it seems, and there will be setbacks, discouragement, and doubt as you create your story, but you have to overcome those things. You owe it to the world to keep at it, no matter how long it takes, or how much you want to quit.

As an Indie Author, I am working on promoting Redhead, and that is a full-time job.
As far as writing, I am working on another Redhead story, this one a time travel romance that takes place in 1955 Brooklyn.

Ever since the third grade, I have always had a passion for writing down what I see. I think it comes from the fear that life passes on so quickly, and I don't want it to pass me by without remembering what it is all about.
I think all writers have that same urge, maybe fear, so that is why we write. We want to capture life since we know we can't hold on to it forever.

I read a story once about an older woman who called a taxi, and they ended up driving around town. She showed him all the places that meant something to her and gave him a lesson in enjoying life, and appreciating the time we have here.
I also have always been intrigued by Hemingway and Fitzgerald, and their work on growing older. I see some of the same things in my life so that was one of the inspirations for creating this story. It's all about enjoying life because before we know it, things change and we have to deal with what we become.
