I loved Our Divine Mischief. The characters were the best and the plot was amazing! I can't wait to see what you write next :-)! Do you plan to have a dog in your next book?
Hanna Howard Thank you so much, Tania! The book I'm currently working on doesn't have a dog, exactly, but it does have a wolf who behaves like a dog... so yes? :) Orail will be unique in my personal canon, though. Other dogs may play a role in my stories, but I think none will ever be quite like her again. <3

Hi Hanna! I recently discovered the existence of Beautiful Monster... I'm kind of amazed that I hadn't sleuthed it out earlier. I'm one of those nerds who hunts down everything an author publishes. I also read the interview you did with Ana Mardoll back in 2011 and know that it isn't available to read online anymore. Is there any possibility of this becoming available again? Or will it remain in the drawer forever?
Hanna Howard Hi Kaitlin! I'm so impressed!! I had almost forgotten it had ever been online. It's hard to imagine letting it loose again, but maybe someday? Thank you for being interested, though!

Hi! I was wondering...when you write a book do you start by planning the whole thing and outlining the whole story, or do you just write as you go? (P.s. When you answered my first question I was so happy, you are SUCH an inspiring person!)
Hanna Howard Hi Gretta! :) Such a good question! When I wrote Ignite the Sun, I was what we writers call a "pantser," which means I wrote by the seat of my pants: no outline, no plan, no real clear idea of where the story would take me. But I learned that that this style takes me a lot longer than plotting, and I now take lots of time on the forefront of a project to draft detailed outlines, character arcs, and scene beats. This saves me lots of time and grief, and keeps me from writing myself into dead ends. <3

If you could meet any character (or characters) from any book who would it be?
Hanna Howard Ooof, that's tough! I'd probably have to pick from the books I've loved the longest, in which case: Ella of Frell from Ella Enchanted, Goldberry and Bombadil from the Lord of the Rings, the whole Weasley clan in HP, and Anne Shirley, because she is just such a kindred spirit. :)

Who was your favorite character to craft in Ignite The Sun?
Hanna Howard I think I loved writing Merrall or Yarrow the most. They both have a fair bit of baggage that carries over into who they are in the story, and that was a lot of fun for me to work in from a personality standpoint!

If you could spend your vacation in any book, where would it be?
Hanna Howard Great question! I think I'd have to choose the Hobbit (pre Ring drama) in Rivendell, because my ideal vacations are wooded, cozy, and full of lots of good food, rest, music, and conversation!

Okay, Hanna, I know your first book didn't come out all that long ago, but is there any chance you'll be releasing another in the near future?? Because that would be amazing... :D
