I have ALWAYS wanted to write a book. When I was young, I loved ‘game books’, which are those books where you turn to various pages to follow the story you create. The name of one book, House of Hell, inspired me with the setting of my story, but I obviously went with a very different plot. It’s something I have always wanted to do and have no aspirations of financial reward. It is enjoyable, and that is the main reason that anyone should write.

I used to be a police officer and I also have a strong interest in mental health. Without going into spoilers, my book follows accurate British policing methodology, including interview skills, but is also a blunt and dark exploration of characters’ mental health issues. I hope it is cathartic for some people.
