I've always been fascinated with scientific studies about the impact foods have on health, for better or worse, even more so with some that might actively help us fight off infection and disease. Better still if they’re readily available, even free for the taking all around us.
As a keen forager and gardener, I love what an easily foraged or cultivated food -- two actually -- elderberries (and elderflowers) are, as well as the many purposes they can serve in the garden.
