Penelope Grace and the Winter Carousel is inspired by my mom, Penelope. She is so full of courage, wonder, and faith, and I wanted to write a story that honors what an incredible woman she is. I also want to encourage people to live in child-like wonder. It's easy to believe that living in wonder is impossible or foolish, but I am convinced that even though wonder is often elusive, it's so necessary and worth fighting to hold onto.
