Don't be afraid. For six years I wrote into a void. I was afraid to show my work to anyone but my husband. The words just piled up. One story after another, just saved as files in my computer.
Finally, with my husband's encouragement I started to send my words out to friends I trusted. What would happen if you self published one story, he finally said. Just put it out there to see what might happen.
Nerves and all, I did. And you know what happened. People read it.
Write. Write some more. Make your words as good as they can possibly be. But eventually let them be read. It doesn't matter if they are the best words ever written.
What matters is that you see the world in a way that's unique. And you can share that.
You know what I've learned? Your people are out there somewhere. But you can't find them if you are not brave enough to share you work.
My advice to you?
You are enough.

Honestly, It's the idea that if I do my job well enough I can bring a little joy to your day.
I want to be that ice cream sandwich you demolish on your lunch break but without the calories. I want to be a guilt free break from real life, and hopefully make you laugh. I'll settle for a smile.
My novella, Mister Wrong, is free on Amazon till 4/28 so you can check it out.
See if I can make you smile.

I've become a little obsessed with those makeover video's you can find on YouTube. And when I was younger I was devoted WHAT NOT TO WEAR. I love the idea that a great hairdresser can help you transform.
Then I thought what if the hairstylist just happens to be six feet of strapping man candy with a Scottish brogue to boot. And what happens when a woman who feels wronged by his Salon wages a campaign of War over the World Wide Web. What would happen next?
