Mark Wells Be kind to myself. I get up, go for a walk along the River Cam, find a coffee shop and treat myself to cake and conversation. It's remarkable how often this shifts the blockage.

Mark Wells When I began writing Cambridge Gothic, I set College of Shadows in the Autumn term at Cambridge University. When the book became a YA fantasy bestseller, I decided to pick up the story in the Winter term with Gate of Shadows. The third book, Legacy of Shadows, is set in the Summer term and completes the first-year story arc.
