What’s the best thing about being a writer?
A.C. Ward Oh, all the characters for sure. I love my characters. It's my favorite thing about reading as well. Visiting with close friends, that's what reading is all about, even reading my own work.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
A.C. Ward Learn how to reach "the end". That's the hardest part. All writers feel like imposters. The ideas feel dumb and are never good enough. Keep going anyway.

What are you currently working on?
A.C. Ward I am feverishly editing books 2-4 in The Kami Prophecy series for upcoming release. Ideas for book 5 are beginning to spin as well. I can't wait to first draft again.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
A.C. Ward The very first scene, the prologue, came to me in a dream. In the dream, the characters were more typical castle/knight fantasy types. But then the male protagonist showed up as Masaru, and I let my own interests override.
