We were never allowed to ask my mother about her father. "It's too painful" we were told since he died when she was very young.
My mother was one of five children (and a twin ). The first two children were 16 /14 years older that the last three.
Also, my grandfather moved away before he died...

My first Aspen Gold book was written in two months, but had been in my head for almost 10 years.
Normally, I like to give myself three months for just the writing, and another month for the edits. However "2020" has proven difficult in many ways and the last two books took a little longer. I'm really hoping that 2021 is more productive.

Every writer struggles with writer's block. Sometimes it's because other issues in my life are stressing me out or demanding my time. For me, I make myself sit in my work chair everyday. If I get 500 words then I can get up. The truth is, if I get started I can rarely stop.

I finished my third Aspen Gold Series book, Lonely Eyes. Tomorrow is release day and I am so excited. I was in love with the main character, Owen Strong, from the day he pushed himself into my first book Sleepin’ Alone.
However he’s not the only character who has been impatient to get their story. Deke Ward has put his boot down. Watch for Another Night Alone, after the first of the year. Deke is a little older than his friends and has almost given up on finding his own love. But there are obstacles they will both need to overcome to find their happy ever after.

Sleepin’ Alone was my first book in the Aspen Gold Series. My next book will be about Gage Ewing the doctor whom you met in my story. He also made brief appearances in some of the other books. This is a great series to work on as all the authors incorporate people from our town, Spencer, Colorado in their books allowing the readers to keep up with some of their favorite characters.

Music has always had a big influence on my stories. I’m a lyric person first then the music. I will hear a phrase and then my mind takes off. In the song Sleepin’ Alone, I wondered why a person would sleep alone. Was it by choice? Did they lose the love of their life? Were they betrayed? I hope you will take a chance on my book to find the answer.
