(view spoiler)[Do you have plans for a series or maybe even some short stories with the whole cowboy crew in the old West? would love to see doc meet Andrew or Andrew falling in love with janey. I started with the doc holliday series and have read everything out currently, just finished Andrew books and am currently reading Janey's 1st book so maybe some of that will happen in this series. I just feel like Andrew let's go home. (hide spoiler)]

Daniel,
I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying the series. I love Doc, Andrew, Doyle, Widow Maker... All of them. I love them all, and it thrills me to hear that you love them as well.
That's a really great question, and the answer is... maybe. I never say never because I don't know if one day Doyle will grab me by the collar and say, "Hey, come write about this." And I would like to do some short stories with Andrew and Janey at some point, so it's a definite possibility. I can't tell you anything about Janey because of spoilers, but there's a chance you'll see Pecos and... Well, you'll see. :D
If you read Regnum as you were moving through the Doc Series, it has some short stories with the cowboys as well, but if you missed it, here's the Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Regnum-Short-S...
Janey is one of my all time FAVORITE characters (not that I have favorites), so I hope you really enjoy her series. Thank you so much for reaching out! Have an awesome book-filled day!
Regards,
M.M.

Patrick,
Thank you for reaching out. I'm glad to hear you're intrigued by my novels. Regnum is a great book, however, you might find it confusing if you started with it. That said, it will certainly introduce you to the world.
In answer to your specific question, Andrew is not gay. In fact, if you have read "Setting Things Straight" in Regnum, Janey Falke is Andrew's wife. It wasn't explained in Regnum because if a reader has already read The Immortal Doc Holliday Series Book 1, they already know about Janey and Andrew, hence the confusion. :)
The Legend of Andrew Rufus is a coming of age story. When it starts, Andrew is a thirteen-year-old modern boy, and he is shifted to the past by magic. He joins, for lack of a better word, a group of hero cowboys, and through his time with them learns what it means to be a man and a hero. If I do say so myself, which I do, it's a great story, with lots of character, action, humor, and emotion.
Thanks again! Hope you have a fantastic day!

Thank you. I of course, per me, hand't gotten to that point in the Regnum yet when I sent you the question. Of course, now after finishing Dark Awaken
Thank you. I of course, per me, hand't gotten to that point in the Regnum yet when I sent you the question. Of course, now after finishing Dark Awakening, the line in the Regnum about Andrew making Pecos smile makes SOOOO much more sense now.
You have done an AMAZING job with these characters. I finished Regnum and only today, finished Dark Wakening and am starting Bone Deep.
Keep up the amazing work you are doing. Also, though your characters don't say it... THANK YOU for not being a crazy hater and being offended by my question. I had asked because I was getting ready to download the series and based on a line in the Regnum, I thought Pecos and Andrew were like lovers, now I realize it is like Father and Son. I'm happy you responded and I'm happy I went ahead and downloaded the series. Once I'm done with Andrew, I'll be onto Doc Holiday.
I love your character building. I love your ability to show them as real people. The bar scene with Doyle, the build up and then end, was soooo my father. He wasn't tall but if you started something with him, he was gonna finish it. Plus having so many older relatives that were farmers, the language you use is so SPOT ON!!
I'm gonna gush and say thank you again. You given me something to read that is inside and outside my normal reading.
Thank you!

(view spoiler)[Do those ninja assassins get fully addressed in the next book? And also was it always your plan to have Doc become Tetrarch or did you get the idea while you were writing? (hide spoiler)]
M.M. Crumley
Hi Ryan,
Yes the ninjas will be covered in book seven (p.s. it is awesome). And as for Tetrarch, what I may or may not have planned usually doesn't much matter to Doc, he tends to go off script and do whatever he wants. Hope that answered your question. So glad you are into the series! Book seven releases this March (so like super soon) and all your ninja related questions will be fully answered I promise. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day!

This March! That is some of the best news I've had in a long time :) I was worried that I would have to wait until next year to find out want happens next. I would like to take this moment to thank you for writing such an amazing book series! I confess I hadn't heard of it until very recently, but I am so glad I decided to read it. You really are an amazing author and I hope that your series gets all the recognition it deserves. Thanks for the great reply and have a great day :)

Hi Phil! Thank you for your interest in my books! If it were me I think I would read the first four Doc Holliday books then switch over and read the whole seven book Andrew Rufus series and then continue with the rest of the Doc series. I think this is the most fun way to read the two series so you get information from both series woven together. I hope this helps and happy reading! Hi Dave! I don't want to spoil anything for you but I can say that Doc and Andrew meet after the events of Andrew book 7... I don't want to ruin anything so I can't say more. I'm so glad you are enjoying the books! Thank you so much!!!

It's a long-term commitment planned for 25 books.

Bob,
Thanks for contacting me. Although I do have a general outline and plot points for my series, I have to admit that my characters don't always fall in line with it. I mean, can you really see Doc following orders? Hope that answers your question. Have a super fantastic day!

I just sit down and write. If you're not trying to control your story and make it go where you want it to go, you'll be amazed at what comes out. It's so organic and beautiful, and it's easy to keep going, letting your characters do all the work.
M.M. Crumley
For me the most amazing thing about writing is getting to know my characters. It's like meeting a new friend. I never know what they're going to say or do next; they tell me. Sometimes I'm like, "Whoa, I didn't see that coming!"
M.M. Crumley
Just do it. If you want to write, sit down and write. Write what comes to you. Open yourself to the ether.
M.M. Crumley
I'm finishing up the final edits on the Andrew Rufus series, and waiting, quite impatiently I might add, to start up my second series again... It's gonna be good! Some characters from Andrew will reappear. It's so exciting; I can hardly wait!
M.M. Crumley
Every time I step into the woods, I start thinking. You'd think I'd be looking at all the beauty, but what I'm really doing is wondering what my characters would be doing in those woods.
M.M. Crumley
My husband is an amazing muse. There's actually a very long story behind Andrew Rufus, if anyone is ever interested, they can let me know!
