In the first part of my first book, Angel in Training - a spiritual journey, I recount my spiritual journey beginning as a teenager. In the second part, I briefly present 12 lessons I learned along the way. After a number of people said they liked the lessons better than part one, I asked a few if a follow-up book delving more into the 12 lessons would be worth the effort. The answers were all yes.

Two separate incidences in undergrad school encouraged me to develop my writing. Both were situations where I had to summarize a complex concept or content and present my write-up to the class. In both cases, the students and instructor commented that my work was exceptionally well done. "This is something I am really good at and love it!" I thought.

I have a lot going on in the writing aspects of my life. I'm building a social media platform with Instagram, Facebook, and my website. Also finishing up the production of my second book 12 Lessons. With all this good stuff going on I have a full-time job that is my first priority.

Find an outlet. A publication that is looking for pieces and publish through that vehicle. Or, find a writer you like and see how they approach topics, their writing style, etc. This will help as long as you don't get too wrapped up into their voice. If so, you have got to stop reading them. Above all you have got to write in your voice, that is the greatest gift you have to offer.

I love the creative process. I start out with an idea, If I can't fully sketch it out in my head first, I just start writing. Afterward, I go back and add, subtract, and modify. It is very much like creating a sculpture, working on different aspects until the whole piece looks just right.

If I don't have a deadline, then just work on something else, preferably not writing-related. If I have a deadline, then I ask for help from God, the Universe, Spirit, or my spiritual guides. That always works.
