Hi Heath enjoyed Prisioner but the ending was pretty naff! "The End" no following Police interviewing the suspect or getting to know why she had committed such brutal crimes. Enjoyed Khan much more, very little police involvement and again a pretty poor ending. From Sheffield with love?

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Heath Gunn The idea for Prisoner came to me one day when I was having a quiet day on a car sales site I owned in 2000, I scribbled down my thoughts and realised I had a beginning, middle and end, so started writing. the first draft took me three and half years to write.

Heath Gunn I'm working on two books at the moment, my second novel, Khan, which will be out in 2020 and a sequel to Prisoner

Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?
Heath Gunn A shadow flashed across the mirror on the bathroom wall as she looked through a crack in the door, standing frozen to the spot, unable to move from the safety of her bedroom.
Without warning the door swung back, as if thrown open by an invisible force and there, looming large before her, was the beast.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Heath Gunn I'd go to the Shires, to Bilbo Baggins house. I first read the Hobbit when I was 13 and have been a fan ever since

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Heath Gunn this summer I read we can see you, by Simon Kernick, a fast paced thriller which I enjoyed very much. Simon is fast becoming one of my favourite authors
