Christopher Keast The idea for Datapocalypse came from watching too many people taking too many pictures of things. My sixth-sense of sondering makes me wonder why people prefer taking pics vs. observing with their god-given eyes and mind. So, what would happen if all the things people are taking pictures of just suddenly disappear in front of their eyes?
Christopher Keast Imagining things that may not yet exist but very well could, coupled with experiences I've had, or read, or seen in mine and others' lives. Then, it's all about maintaining that personal time and space to my head down and put words to paper. There's nothing more motivating then a pen and an empty page when you're in this mindset.
Christopher Keast 1. Just released first full-length sci-fi/speculative fiction/mystery/suspense/love-story/data-punk novel, Datapocalypse, and struggling through its publicity
2. Submitting my new short-story "Eye for Ego" to literary magazines and writing contests
3. Finishing last round of edits on new literary / modern-thinker novella "The Fulcrum". Going to be submitting this manuscript to publishing houses, old school!
4. Brainstorming my next sci-fi novel... coming soon!
Christopher Keast Sorry for the cliché, but... read, practice writing, fail. Repeat.

Christopher Keast Go somewhere different. Do something different. Get your mind into a new head space. Take a break and retool. See yourself and your craft in a slightly different light. Have a new experience. Meditate. But god's sake, give yourself a rest and let the ether separate your ego, your will, from your creative mindset.
