The idea for my most recent book was inspired by the current environmental issues we find ourselves in. Climate change and global warming is a very real problem and has to be addressed now. We all have to do our bit and make a difference, no matter how small it might be…anything is better than nothing!

As a result of our “lockdown” situation, I’ve managed to write a sequel to “Clash of the Totems”
Still editing but should be ready soon!
(Also in the process of recording the original book for audio with a very talented actress)

For me, the best thing about being a writer is the power to create another world and be in control of it. It’s the only place you can get away with murder!!
We all hold such power with words and the joy we can create with them. I love the idea of someone being transported to a new domain for an extraordinary experience after reading something I (or any author) has written.

I tend not to get writer’s block. I just get the odd day when I don’t like what I’ve written. The trick is to keep writing even on a bad day. The next day it all seems to fall into place. I might even scrub the whole of what I wrote the day before but by writing even on a bad day it keeps your mind active and in a writer’s mode.

I’d have to say the world of Harry Potter (who wouldn’t want to go there?) I’m not sure what I’d do there apart from create havoc trying to use magic to get through all the stuff I’d rather not, like my ironing, washing, cooking and school runs!
Perhaps I could find a way to use magic to put our planet back in order?
