Honestly, I enjoy almost all of the characters in some way. I'm fascinated by Mac and I want to know more about him. Brad's strength under pressure impresses me. I've known people like Kim, and I appreciate both her resolve and her vulnerability. The story ends in Misty's voice, and I definitely like her. She's a big part of the sequel (!) and I'm enjoying getting to know her more. If I had to pick just one, I don't know if I could do it. But for the moment I find myself very intrigued by Mac's past. I'm currently working on two major projects. The first is Wait for the Lightning. This is a non-fiction work. The subtitle is "A fresh look at Genesis 1-12." Like New Wineskins and From Slavery to Freedom, it's a practical application of biblical texts written for those who want to grow in Christian faith. I'm launching a Kickstarter for WFTL in March. The other major project I'm working on is a sequel to Death on Disappointment Mountain. I am still working on the first draft, and I expect this book to be available sometime this summer. I'm having a lot of fun following Kim and Misty as they travel to Seattle to rescue Kim's niece. Of course, it's not as simple as that. The plot takes a number of twists and turns along the way. Eventually they end up in Minnesota where things really get interesting. I'm excited for readers of Death on Disappointment Mountain to check this one out!
