DJanée Consult with small honest focus groups about the work that your skills produce. Make sure it is with people whose feedback and opinions you can trust. Fine tune your skills. You want to make sure that you are truly as good as you think you are--or better.
Then, share it with the world. Only, make sure that your final products are proofread and edited properly. You don't want to publish something that is halfheartedly written or that will be hard for readers to get through.
Literature riddled with errors or that is just not written properly can be a major turn-off.
DJanée Inspiration is everywhere, honestly. Sometimes, you just have to have the eyes to see it.
DJanée Honestly, solely because of the protagonist, I'd have to pick a story that I have written but have not yet published. The main character has a heart but also has a pretty rough exterior with walls that keep her on constant lock down. She is brave, calculative, and very determined. I cannot help but look up to her in certain ways.
What would I do in her world of corrupt governments? Try to be her best friend.
DJanée The stairs moaned and creaked under my weight as I carefully climbed the wooden staircase in the night. Shadows danced across my house's walls, and my heart pounded in my ears as I approached the bedroom at the top of the stairs that has apparently been the source of the bloodcurdling screeches that woke me...
DJanée My most recently published book, Jimmy and the Teddy Bear, actually came from a desire to bless some children who would come to a church event that I have served at for several years. There is a Christmas Dinner that takes place every year to give people in need a wonderful holiday celebration with complimentary food, clothes to take home, and other things. The children also receive a Christmas gift or two.
I wrote Jimmy and the Teddy Bear to give the children free copies of a story that would hopefully show them that they are special, building their self-esteem. This story was my Christmas gift to them.
DJanée I'm publishing my debut young adult series, More Than Conquerors, filled with suspense and excitement. It's a sure thing to keep you on the edge of your seat. I know I was while writing it.
The first book, On the Run, will be coming out soon.

I'm also writing more short stories and am about to publish another children's story to inspire our children not to listen to the negative words that are meant to tear them down. They are each special. Weapons like bullying should not be allowed to destroy their self-esteem.
DJanée As a writer, you get to venture into the great unknown just like a reader. You experience a whole new world and fall in love with new people/characters. Only, you have a little more control.
