I’m working on a couple of new books. The first is called Tales from the jail and other uniform stories. The other is a concurrent story to Trust that will hopefully flow to intersect with how it ended.

I was in Afghanistan talking with some of the military members who were also in civilian law enforcement. Some were cool people some were buttheads and I had plenty of time to daydream. I never meant to write a book I just wanted to get a small story out of my head. Next thing I know I was 200 pages in and couldn’t stop.

I go outside and do something fun. Or listen to music. Or both.

Don’t worry about writing a perfect book from the start. Just write the story and read, reread, reread, and fine tune. Life’s too short to stress.
