Judith Fabris My mother and her friend used to correspond. She told me that my grandmother and her friend's mother also corresponded from a young age for their entire lives. They lived across the continent from each other. The idea of letters to maintain a friendship was amazing to me. It provided a kernel to jog my imagination.
