Pray, pray, pray, I seek direction in His Word. I listen to the voice of others that share their current struggles, pain, triumphs, concerns and then I pray for guidance on what I can shine a light on to encourage. When I get stuck, I head to the local mountain trail or jump on my bike and turn up the worship music and clear my mind.

I am currently working on my 45 minute speaking engagement at University Christian Church. Most of my creative thinking is going to that and it has been such a joy to spend that time writing about my book, Let's Walk. The title of the workshop is Backslider, so I believe it will be a great time. I am also working on our new website, WalkinHisWord, it should launch in March, God willing.

The best thing about being a writer is to see on paper the thoughts that run through my head. I enjoy seeing the thoughts organized and in place. Once that is done, I get to share it with others and pray it encourages. It's a real gift.

My advice for aspiring writers is to never stop writing. The drive you have, that feeling that pushes you is real. It is there for a reason. It is a gift. Nurture it, have faith. Keep writing.

I deal with writer's block by praying first and then hitting a mountain trail or jumping on my bike. It really gets me focused and my thoughts slow down to a place that allows me to start organizing them and then I grab a note pad as soon as I get in the door. Works every time.
