It's winter here in Germany. :) I received Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and Anne Patchett's The Dutch House from my son for Christmas, and can't wait to read them. My husband gave me G.R.R. Martin's beautifully illustrated "A World of Ice and Fire," which details the history of his world.

I'm doing the first round of edits on The Wings of Dread, the fourth and final book of The Drinnglennin Chronicles. It's due to go to my developmental editor in NYC in six days!

Practice your craft, daily if possible, even if you can only manage a few lines. They will add up!

I don't really experience writer's block, but whenever I'm grappling with a way to resolve something in my story, I go for a walk. Ideas just seem to flow when I'm moving, particularly if I'm in the woods. Trees are a true inspiration.
