If you want to write, do it! Don’t get discouraged. You will be overwhelmed by the amount of rejection you get, or by the negative reviews you receive. Use all that to feed your drive and your passion. Get lost in the worlds you create. It’s an amazing journey.

The hours! Work when I want, where I want… Life is good.

Thank God I haven’t had to deal with that yet? Probably just jinxed myself, but I think my writing style works to avoid this. At least for me. I don’t force myself to write every day for a set amount of hours, pages, etc. I write when I feel like writing, which thankfully works out to be every day. And I don’t write in a particular order. After coming up with a plot, thought, scene, etc., I spend my time writing that portion; regardless of whether it comes in order of the story or not. It just works for me.

I am drawn to Hogwarts. My youth has similarities to Harry’s and getting a letter like he received would be amazing. Working two jobs to put myself through college didn’t leave any time to live the college experience that I’ve heard so much about. The friends, the dorms, all of the things I missed out on that Harry got to live. If I had the opportunity, I would spend the rest of my days learning about different subjects until my mind couldn’t take any more!

My current project is nearing completion, I think… It seems to keep growing. I’m up to just over 85,000 words, but I may be writing still just to avoid editing! Ugh, editing. Anyway, this novel is crossing over into the Steampunk genre and is written for YA and above.
