How do you deal with writer’s block?
K.J. Kalis I've gotten this question a lot! I don't believe in writer's block. There is always a story to tell. If there is a place in a story I get stuck, I'll go take a walk or do a few chores. Within a few minutes, I usually am back at it.

K.J. Kalis Knowing that I can tackle issues that are close to my heart and connect with others. I also love the peace and solitude of writing...

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
K.J. Kalis Write, write, write. Don't give up on your dream and realize there are TONS of places to use your skills.

What are you currently working on?
K.J. Kalis I'm editing the next book in the Kat Beckman series and am getting ready to write the fifth book. Already have an idea for book 6!

How do you get inspired to write?
K.J. Kalis Lol, I guess I don't! I write on a schedule. I have a story that I'm working on pretty much all the time and I just get down to business!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
K.J. Kalis Fourteen Days is a book about a young girl that is sex trafficked. I got the idea from hearing about what girls like this all over the world go through via a non-profit called Rapha International. It's heart breaking, but I hope that the book raises awareness of the problem!
