Hi, Frank;
Yes, I know that Hayti is more than a wide spot as I was born there. We moved from there when I was 2, but visited every year. I was born in Hayti Hospital. I have family in Hayti, but haven't been there in about a decade. When people ask me about it, I tell them it's in the Bootheel of Missouri, not too far from Nashville, which usually confuses them as a lot of people aren't that familiar with the U.S. map. But there are so many little towns around there and no big cities that Nashville is actually the closest metropolis! I mean, there is Caruthersville, Peach Orchard, Portageville, Wardell, etc. Small hamlets, if you will. Each one interesting in its own quirky way. I love little towns and use them a lot in my writing. :-) The common belief as to how the name came about is that when the trains went through, merchants shouted what must-sought-after products they had for sale -- Hay and Ties (railroad ties). However, I don't think it's ever been proven exactly how the name came about. I sincerely doubt it had anything to do with Haiti, though.

Just write every day. Don't worry about what the industry is doing as it changes all the time. What is on the shelves now has nothing to do with what will be on the shelves a year from now. Learn your craft, use your tools, and pay attention to your own journey.

Josephine;
The fourth Mind's Eye book will be released July 24, 2017! It's called THROUGH HER EYES. You can order it now on Amazon.
I plan to do six of these and then a spin-off on a new psychic series. :-)

Hello, April! I'm writing the next book now and my goal is to release the book in April -- just like your name! That should be easy for you to remember, huh?
From your question, it seems that you like the Mind's Eye series and I'm glad to hear it. Thank you! I love, love, love writing them.

Hi! I'm finishing up a western historical romance right now and then I plan on diving into #4 in the Mind's Eye series. Hopefully, it will go smoothly and I can release the next one in late fall or early winter.
I was actually dragging my feet because we wanted to see if the first one in the series could garner 50 reviews (which is a magic number for Amazon to kick in with more promotion), but we haven't been able to reach that number yet. But not for lack of trying! :-) I've given up on that and have decided to go ahead and write #4 anyway.
I'm so glad to hear that you like the series. I absolutely LOVE writing those books! I adore Levi and Trudy and have so much more of their personal story to reveal. And there is another serial murderer to catch!

Just write. Every day. It should be like breathing and eating. It's just something you do. When you don't do it, you should feel incomplete. If you're not actually writing every day, you should be plotting. But writing something every day is what makes you a writer. If you don't do this, then you're just someone who thinks about writing. There are scads of those around!

The bills that come in my mail inspire me to write. I also like to eat.

The best thing is my boss. She is so generous and kind! She never wants me to begin work until around noon. She's the best. LOL

I've never had writer's block. I don't believe in it.

I've been interested in psychics for a long time. I met a psychic when I was in high school and he's a good friend of mine. He's not a professional psychic, but he definitely is gifted. When I read "Fifty Shades of Grey" it inspired me to write a more erotic romance. I love bad boy heroes who are flawed and I decided it was time to take a risk and write a novel that's been kicking around in my head for years and years about two psychics who team up to track down serial killers, rapists, and kidnappers. They also discover that they are intensely attracted to each other. This is my Mind's Eye series. I plan to do six books for this series and they're available on Amazon.

I'm currently writing an historical western romance. After that, I'll decide what contemporary romance suspense novel I'll pen now that I've completed my Mind's Eye series.
