I have to admit to watching a number of reality TV shows, including the Bachelor franchise. It was actually my dad who got me started watching!
A few seasons ago, the lead was promoted as being the "Virgin Bachelor." That got me thinking about having a hero who was a virgin to the show -- he'd never seen it but gets nominated to be a contestant. I wanted the hero to be an Army guy (like my Bad Karma guys, except not Special Ops) and add a twist. This story idea came about really quickly and since I have a sense of humor, it was fun to create all the contestants and drama.
