Maria P. Frino I don't need to be inspired to write. Story ideas, snippets, threads and thoughts always pop into my head. I write down as many as I remember. Some of these make it into my books, some just sit there waiting. My passion is writing and I am lucky to do what I love.
Maria P. Frino There was a bad patch early in my marriage where nothing was going right. The worst of it was finding out we couldn't have children. This led to a period of years with IVF treatments, specialists, and lots of despair. The outcome was successful (after 9 years) but going through those years was painful.
Maria P. Frino Write. Write and write. The more you do the better you will be. It also helps if you enjoy what you're doing. Also, write each day even if it's only one sentence. It all adds up.
Maria P. Frino The basement where Amelia and Simona hide and the Russian artefacts are hidden is a real basement owned by my grandparents. In the story, The Decision They Made, I have set the basement in Naples. The actual basement is in a small town south of Naples. The idea of the story came to me when we visited with our two children many years ago and I went down into the basement. The smells were the same as when I had first stepped foot into it as a child.
Maria P. Frino It's my passion. I love the look of typefaces, putting words together, creating characters and seeing my books come to life. The best thing - being able to lose myself in the stories. I become my characters and am in their world for the time that I'm writing.
Maria P. Frino A sequel to my science fiction short story, Xenure Station: A Billion Light Years. I've had good feedback on this short story, people are asking for more. I'm enjoying writing the sequel and this time it will be a full-length novel titled, Xenure Station: The Revenge.
