Melissa Roos My advice for aspiring writers would be simply - just write.
Write about anything and everything. Write anywhere, anytime.
I always keep a little notebook handy - in my purse, by my bed, on the kitchen counter. When an idea comes to you write it down on anything you have, napkin, receipt, index card, anything - just get it down. You never know when that idea can transform from one single word to a sentence, then a paragraph, or even a short story. From there a whole novel is possible, and one idea triggers another. Keep writing!
Melissa Roos I ran through the house frantically, searching desperately for something, anything. I stood in horror in the center of the house as the truth came to me in one big crashing wave of despair and realized - all the chocolate was gone!
Melissa Roos Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman - currently reading and loving it!
Melissa Roos The best thing about being a writer is hearing how people react to the stories I tell. I love it when they tell me something that moved them, surprised them, or made them laugh.
Melissa Roos I’m writing my next novel titled “In the Shadow of the Black Moon”.
Melissa Roos I turn up the music - I always have music playing in the background, usually country - and dance around the kitchen until I’m inspired. (Or tired 😉) Most the times just increase if the blood flow gives me a new release on writing.
