Rachael Clarke My goodness, that is so hard!! Is it bad that I would choose the future world my novel "Race to Novus" is set in? Aside from the corrupt corporations and the race insanity that occurs within the storyline, I think it would be really neat to explore Joya and many other alien worlds. Plus, I'd love to meet my cast of characters while I'm there, and definitely ride Herc (the bionic horse).
Rachael Clarke My current read is Disconnected by Riley Cross

As for my summer reads, if I get any free time, I'm hoping to dive into:

Salvation Day by Kari Wallace
Dead Silence by S.A. Barnes
The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout

And even though I've already ready all of the Hunger Games series, I recently bought the audio book on CD... so, I look forward to listening to that whenever I happen to find myself driving alone.
Rachael Clarke Okay, so, I have a box of Christmas ornaments - nice glass ones (special ones) that I package separately every year. Well, this past year, that box vanished when it came time to put the tree up. It's bizarre because we've looked everywhere, yet it's nowhere to be found. I think there could be a plot spun around this somehow... that one of our ornaments turned out to be super valuable and got snatched up, or perhaps an ornament contained something integral that an alien civilization hid in plain sight and has now come back for! Haha. Anything can be a story, really, if you want it to be. ;P
Rachael Clarke I had to wake up super early. We were out of coffee. :o
Rachael Clarke Find a writing group, whether online or in person. Having like-minded individuals that "get it" who can support you and also hopefully exchange feedback with you on pieces of writing, is invaluable. :)
Rachael Clarke I am currently working on the sequel to my debut sci-fi western novel, "Race to Novus." It is roughly titled, "Fight for Varu." I have a trilogy planned, so I will have one more yet to write once this sequel is finished.
Rachael Clarke Everything around me inspires me. What I see, hear, read, taste, and touch. I think all authors are observers of the world. My kids also inspire me a lot when it comes to my children's fiction.
Rachael Clarke My children's chapter book "The Big Ol' Bike" is for ages 7-10 and will be releasing soon. I got the first inkling of an idea while driving home one day. I saw two boys riding bikes down a path, and one boys bike looked a tad big for him. The idea hit me. I immediately started formulating the MC in my head... a smaller-than-average boy with big dreams, and a big ol' bike. :)
