Well I advise listening to music you love often, and discovering new music, and play it on repeat when you really are absorbed in a song. Since the classical "muse" has to do with "music" I find this is a stellar way to free the mind to procreative imaginative acts, and also try getting some well worn handbooks if your endeavours are newer ones.
