I took my first international trip to Sierra Leone. I lost my voice and couldn't record the things I experienced outside of tiny haiku poems. I ended up composing 54 haiku! My Aunt Ruth heard my talk "Reluctant Missionary" about the trip and thought the pictures and haiku should be a book. VOILA!
