If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Crispina Kemp Gosh, that's a difficult one. Mostly those fictional worlds are alive with numerous inherent dangers... and I'm not the bravest explorer.

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Crispina Kemp The new one by Scott Lynch... eagerly awaited. And the third book of Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicles... if it's released. I shall continue to read in dribs and drabs Joseph Campbell's Primitive Mythology. And other than that, whatever sparks me. I don't like to plan.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Crispina Kemp For me, this is more likely to come during the planning stage. I take my camera for a walk. The break from my workaday environment, with my focus on flowers, fungi and butterflies, usually recharges me, and I'm ready to go again... after I've processed the photos.

What are you currently working on?

Crispina Kemp Now that I've completed and uploaded the five books of The Spinner's Game, my focus will be on a contemporary-set time-slip fantasy... vampiric grimmen, hidden lands and an awakening dragon.
