Wendy Wilson Spooner I found a record for my grandmother that NO ONE knew about. I adored my grandmother on every level. She was so full of love and inspiration, and this record showed that she was married for a very short time before she married my grandfather. This was the 1920's, and the witnesses on the marriage certificate were not her parents, eluding to the fact she may have eloped! I researched the man she married and found several pictures of him on Ancestry.com. He was a handsome scallywag! I wish I knew how they met and what the story was there. I also found a divorce notice in a newpaper archive that said the young man's father instigated the divorce. How did she feel? Was she broken-hearted? Or did she chalk the experience up to a big mistake? I WANT TO KNOW. Maybe I need to write a fictional version to find some resolve!
Wendy Wilson Spooner I couldn't move where I lay helpless on the burning earth. The giant raven swooped down, his hollow black eyes circling closer and closer, until he landed next to my ear and whispered, "You haven't even begun to know real grief."
