Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?
Kim Acco It seemed that I switched bodies with a dog in the middle of night. I woke up howling in a cage with several other dogs as we witnessed the flaying of one of our friends.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Kim Acco I would go to Wuthering Heights, hopefully it would be a bed and breakfast. I would enjoy the isolation to write or just meditate.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Kim Acco I'll sleep on it. Sometimes I'll have a glass of wine or make a simple cocktail. Usually stress is behind the block. I need to turn away from sources of stress.

Kim Acco Sharing thoughts, feelings and ideas; being able to inspire another person.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Kim Acco Read a lot to know how to properly articulate your ideas. Open your heart and then write from it.

What are you currently working on?
Kim Acco I finished a second novel that I'm trying to get published. No joy, yet. It's a story that explores preordained destiny without the pitfalls of Calvinism. It's another work of Christian science fiction. I started a third but it's too early to talk about it.

How do you get inspired to write?
Kim Acco I read fiction, non-fictions, watch movies, TV shows and documentaries. I listen to other people's stories and try to understand how they feel. I observe behaviour and my imagination runs wild.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Kim Acco I wanted to write a book about all the 'evil' in the world; how we need to start caring for one another and our planet a lot more. Then I saw Brent Spiner at a Comic Con festival and really liked his white hair. I imagined him as a priest, laughable, but true. The idea of android priest already existed in Trinity Blood, so I wanted one, too, but more Asimov-like. I have also been influenced by Japanese anime.
