I haven't experienced writer's block, I always have ideas to work with - I can get stuck on knowing where to go with an idea, when this happens I have different strategies: sometimes I push through with writing, other times I'll work on a different idea, both approaches work at different times. I also believe in the 3 B's of creative thinking: Bed, Bus Bath - thinking on an idea as I sleep, travel or when I'm having a relaxing soak.

Turning up at my laptop everyday is my happy place - it gives me a sense of serenity.

My advice for aspiring writers is two-fold: 1. Write about what you know, enjoy and are interested in. 2. Write about what you're curious about - you'll learn so much in doing this.

I've just submitted The WorkBook Companion to my book: Your WorkLife Your Way for publication. I'm currently working on my weekly Blog/Podcast: WorkLife Book Wisdom which I intend to publish in book format at the end of the year. I'm beginning to research my next book which will help people to tell their unique WorkLife story.

My inspiration to write comes from the amazing and inspiring stories of the people I work with as a Career Coach. I began to share these stories many years ago when I first began blogging. Writing is my Happy Place.

The idea for my book: Your WorkLife Your Way came from my work. As a Career Coach I help people live their best WorkLives by managing their learning, development and growth through effective self-feedback, insightful questions and the ability to shape and tell their unique story. Thanks to the people I've worked with I have a collection of wonderfully inspiring stories of people's dreams and ambitions, along with the challenges, obstacles and successes they encountered along the road of their WorkLife journey. My hope in sharing these stories is that they will inspire other people to live their best WorkLives in a way that is practical, helpful and insightful.
