The biggest thing on the list is "Rhythm of War" by Brandon Sanderson. He's a great author, but it's an investment. I'm reading it as an audiobook of 55 hours. I used to listen a lot in the car on the way to/from work, but with only going to the office a couple times a week, that doesn't go as fast as it used to.

Think about what you want to write and then just write. As it shapes up, you'll certainly need to make a lot of revisions, but just getting your ideas on paper (or in the computer) will give you a good feel for how much of a story you have.

I'm currently working on the 3rd Mantis Short book. The Mantis Short series area short novellas that take place between or around the main books in the Mantis Saga.
I hope to publish this 3rd Short in April. I haven't figured out the title yet, but the crew is still making their long way home when they encounter some more interesting aliens and adventures.
