Michael Jess Alexander Oh, dang! Sorry for not noticing this sooner. Hmm. I can tell you that my favorites from Boarded Windows, Dead Leaves are "Chatterbox," "Werewolf Cemetery," and "In the Hot Seat," but the one I had the most fun writing was probably "Warm and Tender"; I just love the zombie sub-genre. And my favorites from Conjured Darkness are "Quiet Mimicry," "The Experiment," and "The Screaming Void." I most enjoyed writing "Quiet Mimicry"; the paranoid mood, the somewhat Gothic atmosphere, and the over-the-top villain were all quite fun to write. Thanks for the question!
Michael Jess Alexander I'm currently reading Danielewki's House of Leaves, which I suspect I'll still be reading come summertime. You Should Have Left by Daniel Kehlmann is next on the list. And I also hope to finally tackle Jack Russo's Return of the Living Dead novelization.
