Jan Casey I make sure I write every day which I think really helps. Going for a walk gives me a fresh perspective as does a lovely cup of tea.
Jan Casey I love the whole writing process from deciding on a storyline to research to first draft and through to the final edit. But hearing readers say they have enjoyed reading my novels is always fantastic.

Jan Casey Ordinary people and how they deal with extraordinary events fascinate me. There are countless stories of bravery, courage and resilience waiting to be told.
Jan Casey I visited the London Metropolitan Archives and was awestruck by the map that shows every single bomb that hit London during World War 2. I thought about the members of the Civil Defence who had to stand by ready to stick pins in the maps to show where the bombs and incendiaries hit and how they would feel if they knew the houses that had been devastated. I imagined how something as heart wrenching as that would affect someone for the rest of their life.
