Maggie Platt Don't query editors or agents until you have researched the market and learned more about the process. Steve Laube's Christian Writers Market Guide was massively helpful for me.
Maggie Platt I told my editor I was REALLY finished this time. (That's it. I just needed one sentence. ha!)
Maggie Platt Easiest question in the world for me! I would explore Hogwarts. I don't even need to go anywhere else in the Harry Potter universe. Set me free in the castle and the grounds of Hogwarts, and I would be the happiest person in the world. I have visited Harry Potter World in Orlando and the filming studio outside of London, and I cried during both of those experiences (no shame). I can't imagine how I would behave if I was transported to the real thing.
Maggie Platt For as long as I can remember, I have been a daydreamer who is always playing out the answer to "what if?" in my imagination. One day I was sitting at church, and the question, "What if the seven deadly sins and the fruits of the spirit were embodied by characters and fighting for control of the world?" After lots of changes and iterations, Kingdom Above the Cloud was born!
Maggie Platt Book 2 of my series! My debut novel (Kingdom Above the Cloud) is intended to be the first of a series. Now that "Book One" is on the cover, I have a lot of accountability/pressure to get the second one finished!
