I have some short-term memory issues, which can lead to some misadventures and mysteries. Where am I, why am I here, where did I leave my keys? It is not much, but there is a lot of room to expand a plot from being constantly dazed and confused.

What I have found works for me is to just walk away for a while, and come back to it later. If I keep staring at it trying to get through it, I get frustrated and tend to abandon the story too soon.
